Barnhart Balfour Beatty provided construction management services to build a new City Hall and Council Chambers for the City of Poway. The 50,500 SF facility was developed in two phases with the City Hall completed first, and the Council Chambers completed four months later. Barnhart Balfour Beatty also oversaw the demolition of the previous building.
The Council Chamber building doubles as a 128-seat Community Conference Center and the addition of the Council Building creates a central location for all City departments located in the two-story facility. Local and Native American art pieces are featured throughout the buildings and on adjacent grounds. Both buildings feature state-of-the-art communication and audio visual equipment.
